About Dude’s…
Dude’s Public Market is a vibrant food hall and gathering space in Historic Downtown Pocatello, housed in a beautifully restored building that once held Mike Dudunake’s cherished confectionery. Revived with care by local founder Jim Young, the market blends historic charm with modern energy, offering a space where food, community, and small businesses thrive together.
Preservation Of Rich History
Beams & Tiles
In restoring the space, Jim collaborated with local craftsmen to ensure the integrity of the structure was respected. Original tilework was cleaned and sealed, historic signage and design motifs were reimagined into the décor. The result is a warm, inviting atmosphere that celebrates Pocatello’s rich heritage while creating new opportunities for connection, creativity, and commerce.
Hidden Text On Brick
During renovations, Jim made it a priority to preserve the character of the original structure. He restored its architectural integrity by unveiling original structural beams that had been hidden for decades and maintaining its classic brickwork.
What Can I Do At Dude’s?
The food hall features four kitchen stalls designed for small food businesses, pop-ups, and startups.
